Scholarship Duration:

Diploma: 3 years
Undergraduate Degree: 8 semesters (4 years full-time)
Masters Degree: 12 months or 24 months

Covered Expenses for Ph.D. / Graduate Scholarship:

Note: Ph.D. scholarships are exclusively offered at Universiti Brunei Darussalam at present.

No need to pay tuition fees, registration, and acceptance fees at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
Receive a monthly subsistence allowance of BND 500.00 for 36 months.
Enjoy on-campus accommodation for the entire 36-month duration.
If you're not in Brunei Darussalam, receive a round-trip economy class air ticket from your home country upon accepting the scholarship and back home upon completing your studies.
Additional allowances for field research: BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities, and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for the Diploma, Undergraduate, and Masters

To be eligible for the Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship, international students must meet the specified criteria for pursuing their Diploma, Bachelor, and Masters studies.

Open to citizens of various regions, including but not limited to ASEAN, Commonwealth, and OIC member countries.
Applicants should be between 18-25 years old for Undergraduate and Diploma programs, and not exceed 35 years old for Postgraduate Master's Degree programs as of July 31, 2024.
The award does not apply to Brunei Darussalam Permanent Residents.

Eligibility Criteria for Universiti Brunei Darussalam Ph.D.

Eligible Countries: Students from around the globe have the opportunity to apply for the international scholarship under the Brunei Scholarship 2024, specifically at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

For the Master's degree program, applicants should hold a minimum of a first-class honors Bachelor's degree.
Doctoral Degree Program applicants are required to have a second-class upper honors Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree with a strong publication record, and submit a high-quality and impactful research proposal.
Demonstrated fit to pursue studies in the chosen area of interest is essential.
